I learned several things from the video script. First, the success or failure of the video very much depends on the effectiveness of the video script. It was very beneficial for me to get feedback from my classmates. Getting a different perspective from an objective source helped me improve the overall quality of the script. I made the changes they suggested and I think it vastly improved the quality of my script, and therefore my video. I hope the feedback I gave was as effective for the person I gave feedback to. Honestly, I wish I would have spent more time on theirs because now I know how important it can be.
I also learned that it's important to consider each steps of your creative brief when writing your video script. It helps you keep aligned with the goals and objectives of the campaign. It also provides a road map for you to follow to keep your video script effective. Making sure the brief was fine tuned eliminated mistakes later in the process. I am glad I spent sufficient time correcting the original brief. It assisted me throughout the process.
