Video Script

I work in real estate so naturally some analogies for me lead toward construction. An effective video script is like the plans for a house. If there are large or even small mistakes on the plans of a home, it can significantly effect the final product. If the plans are accurate, that helps to eliminate mistakes later. That doesn't mean the script needs to be perfect, but if you spend a significant amount of time developing the script, the recording and editing processes will go much faster and smoother. 

It was very helpful for me to transition from the outline or brief to the script. It helped me put together the effects for the video such as the visuals, sound, camera angles, and more. At the end of your development of the script, you can read through it and decide if it aligns with the goals you outlined in your brief. In fact, I think a video script is like goals for your life. If you have them well defined, you will be able to have direction for your life as opposed to wandering around aimlessly, trying to decide what and who you want to be.
